Wheel of Timbre

Here is my wheel of timbre. Its not the fanciest thing, but this is a chart of how I teach timbre control. The left side is Bright sounds and the left Dark sounds. If you look at the dark green "lips" you can see that wide lips make bright sounds and narrow lips listed across the circle make dark sounds.
